Dr. Natara Garovoy is the Attending Clinical Psychologist for the Women's Prevention, Outreach & Education Center at VA Palo Alto Health Care System (VAPAHCS). Dr. Garovoy completed her internship in Clinical Psychology at the Palo Alto VA (VAPAHCS) and her postdoctoral fellowship at the Stanford Prevention Research Center, Stanford University School of Medicine. With Clinical and Research expertise she has a particular interest in the relationship between stress and health in women.

Deborah WelbornDeborah Welborn, LCSW, AAMFT

Deborah Welborn is a Social Worker with the Women's Prevention, Outreach & Education Center.  With a background of over 25 years of private practice with individuals, groups, and families Ms. Welborn provides Mental Health Treatment, including treatment for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder & Military Sexual Trauma, depression and anxiety as well as couples & family therapy.  Her special interests include women's issues, marital therapy, and spiritual concerns/conflicts.

Renee Wagner is a Social Worker with the Women's Prevention, Outreach & Education Center.  Ms. Wagner has worked in various settings, including health care centers and schools to provide services to women.  She has a particular interest in outreaching to women veterans throughout the VA Palo Alto Health Care System.

 

Darrah WestrupDarrah Westrup, PhD, Women's Mental Health Center

Darrah Westrup, Ph.D. is the Program Director for the Women's Mental Health Center at VA PAHCS. She is also Attending at the Women's Trauma Recovery Program (WTRP), a national residential treatment program for women with military-related PTSD. Dr. Westrup received her graduate degree from West Virginia University, and completed her postdoctoral fellowship in the Behavioral Medicine Department at Stanford University. She has clinical and research expertise in the areas of PTSD, substance abuse, and experiential avoidance as it relates to psychological dysfunction. Dr. Westrup is also recognized expert in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and stalking behavior.
